Amazon has become our go-to resource for quick and easy shopping, and who can blame us? Whether you’re busy or anti-social, Amazon’s home delivery makes in-store shopping nearly obsolete, and I love it! The ease of click and confirm is the new norm, and here are 21 things you didn’t know you needed from Amazon, because why not add more to your cart?
Please note, products listed include an affiliate link, which means I will make a small percentage of each purchase made. This does not affect the price of your item. It simply takes a small amount from Amazon’s big wallet and puts it into my small and dusty wallet.
21 Things You Didn’t Know You Needed on Amazon OVERVIEW
Photo + Video
seamless background paper
I have multiple colors in the Savage Seamless Background Paper, and they are worth every penny! They are easy to swap and don’t crinkle. Check out this photo for an example of how I’ve used the background.
led Ring light
This is my all-time favorite Amazon purchase! I was hesitant because it’s a bit more expensive than other ring lights, but it’s worth its weight in gold! I use this for my reels, and it makes my skin look much better than it actually is. You can see it in action here.
Although I will eventually upgrade to a larger microphone, this is a great alternative at the moment. I used this for a Live earlier this year, and the sound quality was perfection. I highly recommend using a microphone over traditional headphones.
I currently have this set up in my office with a blue Savage Background roll attached to it. I chose to leave it assembled because I can quickly unroll the paper and have a backdrop for a video within seconds. This item isn’t necessary, but the ease it brings to my life was worth the cost and awkwardness of it always being assembled.
If you are taking photos indoors, as I do, these are incredibly helpful. This is another non-necessity, but I appreciate the convenience of taking photos at any time of day. It also includes a case, so you can grab them and go if need be.
Meg’s Amazon Closet
2-piece cami + Shorts set
This is the perfect summer outfit! I had a photo on Instagram in this set but archived it because the lighting was awful. Aside from the terrible photo, this two-piece set is super comfortable and cute! It ties in the back, which is helpful for all sizes.
COTTON Spaghetti Strap dress
When they say “things you didn’t know you needed from Amazon,” this is what they’re talking about. If you have seen me in person over the last three months, I was likely been wearing this dress. It is perfect! Here is proof.
2-Piece Polka Dot set
I posted a try-on haul with this outfit when it first arrived, and if you remember, it’s adorable! I bought it in hopes of taking it on a beach vacation, but that has yet to happen. I will update you with photos when they become available. Until then, I will wear this to the grocery store like the boujee bitch I am.
vintage maxi dress
I bought this on a whim and fell in love with it. The fit is surprisingly flattering, and the neckline brings a bit of sexy to the situation without upsetting grandma. I highly recommend this for a winter wedding or holiday party!
CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser
CeraVe Foaming Cleanser was recommended to me by a dermatologist in 2011, and I’ve used it every day since. My skin is extremely sensitive, and this is the only line of products that keep my skin from destroying itself. I am genuinely CeraVe’s biggest fan!
cerave eye repair cream
If you’re not using eye cream, start now! It is never too early to take care of those youthful eyes. The idea behind eye cream is to moisturize your skin and fill in sunken areas. Because of that, I also apply this to my jowls (smile lines).
cerave vitamin c serum
I apply vitamin c serum every morning, and I swear it has helped astronomically! As I mentioned, my skin is extremely sensitive, so it took a while to see a difference, but I swear it has helped to even my complexion and brighten my skin. 10/10
CeraVe anti-aging retinol serum
Do not use retinol in the morning! Retinol is a wonderful addition to your skincare routine, but it makes you more susceptible to sun damage. This is strictly a nighttime serum! Now that I’ve scared you, CeraVe makes great skin-renewing retinol, and I highly recommend it.
Multifunctional desk pad
I hate the limitations of a mousepad, so this is a great alternative. It also keeps your laptop from slipping and adds a pop of color to your drab desk.
plush office chair
If I’m spending 8 hours a day sitting in an office chair, that thing needs to be plush! I am currently sitting in a mediocre chair, and this will be my upgrade.
L-Shaped Computer Desk
I intentionally purchased an L-shaped desk for the extra room. Little did I know my dog would soon claim the other half of the desk. Nonetheless, I appreciate the extra space, and it allows me to work from multiple stations at once.
dry erase board 2’ x 3’
I bought Washi tape to decorate my whiteboard and broke it up into sections: to-do, notes, and a calendar (find ideas on Pinterest). I love that when I walk into my office, I can immediately see what I need to do for the day, rather than search through my digital calendar.
I have recently started propagating my plants, and this is a fancy option for my new cuttings. It looks great in my kitchen window, and that’s really all that matters.
Bamboo Plant Stand
I was hesitant about this plant stand but ended up loving it. If you watch my Instagram stories, you’ve seen this in the background 100+ times. It was easy to assemble and is more sturdy than I expected.
sticky gnat traps
If you own house plants and don’t have these, we need to talk! The number of gnats these suckers collect is mindboggling! I hide these in the back of my pots to keep them out of view and change them when they become too full. They’re easy to use and do all the work for you.
Indoor Plant Food
I have no proof that these work, but my plants are happy and healthy, so I’d like to believe they do. I’ve had them for a year, and with proper watering, my plant babies are thriving!
