Scripps Memorial Pier
Scripps Memorial Pier is a gorgeous spot for effortless photos. Because it’s a massive pier, it’s easy to find. Be aware, we had to park on the main road, La Jolla Shores Dr., and walk down to the beach. It seems more like a private industrial area, and less like a frequented fun beach.
The Grounds Bean Bar
The Grounds Bean Bar is an adorable coffee shop in Pacific Beach. Their tropical decor, vibrant dishes, and yummy coffee, makes this a content creators paradise. If you’re looking for the best Instagram spots in San Diego, you’ve found it.
Hidden or secret swings have become popular along the California coast, and I’m here for it! Finding this spot was a little confusing but possible. The trail is located in the Birch Aquariums parking lot. The parking lot is shaped like a horseshoe. Park anywhere there is available parking, and head to the top of the lot. Imagine a horseshoe. You know the rounded top? That is where the trail is; at the top of the horseshoe. There is a small clearing where the trail becomes visible. If all else fails, walk along the perimeter of the parking lot. You will eventually see the path. I promise it’s is pretty darn clear.
Greetings from San Diego Mural
Everyone needs a good mural photo, am I right? The Greeting from San Diego mural will be your signature “I was on vacation” post. This is located in North Park on 30th St. between El Cajon and Howard. Be sure to hit it when the sun is just right, and you’re guaranteed a cute, colorful, staple vacation photo from the breezy and beautiful city of San Diego.
There are so many things to do in Balboa Park; San Diego Zoo, various museums, live music, etc. Aside from being one of the best Instagram spots in San Diego, this is a must-see for entertainment. We spent an entire day exploring, and then went back for more! This specific photo was taken at a hot spot in Balboa Park. If you check out the hashtag #balboapark, you’ll see tons of photo options, but this bridge the most popular. The symmetry and scenery make it a clear favorite.
Hotel Del Coronado
Coronado Island is a little bit of a commute, but worth it! As you can see from the photos, Hotel Del Coronado is gorgeous! The blue sky, red accents, and unique architecture put it on the list of best Instagram spots in San Diego. Whether you’re sprawled on the sand, o directly incorporating the building into your photo, you’re sure to break the internet with this gem. Just ask these gals!
If you’re a plant fanatic like myself, put Pigment on your list immediately! The decor is boho vintage with a tropical twist; basically, everything my Pinterest boards are consist of. Aside from having endless photo opportunities throughout the store, they also have great merchandise! Support local businesses with the purchase of a macramé hanging planter or replace your drab throw pillows with a few soft shades of “where did you get those!?” Pigment has locations in North Park, Del Mar, and Point Loma.
Sunset Cliffs Nature Park
What is a beach vacation without a staple sunset photo overlooking the water? A waste. Head to one of the most beautiful overlooks in San Diego, Sunset Cliffs Nature Park. While there, snag an amazing photo that will most certainly drive engagement to your Instagram account. We do it all for the gram, right? Good luck, and check what time the sun sets before foiling your plan.
Holy Match is cute as a button. Look at it; my gosh! This is what my dreams are made of. Everything is pretty, pink, and photogenic as hell. If you’re looking to soften up your recent array of photos, this is the perfect spot to add to your page. The marble walls, sleek interior, and floral accents bring me so much joy.
