Growing a following, creating perfect content, and engaging with strangers, can feel overwhelming sometimes. Conquering social media, specifically Instagram, takes a lot of work! The algorithm is continuously changing (thank you, reels), and it’s hard to keep up. Luckily there are apps out there that were made to help influencers and creators throughout their Instagram journey. Be that through story design, animated posts, photo editing, or tracking your stats. There are countless resources to help you stay organized, and these are just a few of my favorites. Without further ado, here are 5 of the Best Instagram apps for influencers!

5 Best Instagram Apps for Influencers Overview
- Adobe Lightroom Mobile
- Preview: Planner for Instagram
- Instories: Story Editor for IG
- Tezza Photo and Video Editor
- Spacie Clean Line Breaks
1. Adobe Lightroom Mobile App
Lightroom Photo Editor is a fan favorite. Anyone who is anyone is, or has, edited their photos in Lightroom. In short, Lightrom is a photo editor that supports smartphone photos, as well as RAW files from your big boy camera. In comparison to other editing apps, Lightroom offers more options and allows you to save presets. Presets are similar to filters. When you edit a photo and like the outcome, save the preset (filter)
You have to pay for the desktop version, the mobile app is free!
2. Preview App for Instagram
*Do your research before using your login information to connect to outside platforms.* I know connecting your Instagram account to third-party apps is frowned upon, but I haven’t experienced any issues thus far.
With that said, I use Preview to plan my layout before posting. You’ll notice the colored boxes above my photos; I use those as a guide to help me stay cohesive. It doesn’t always go as planned, but I try!
If you’re hesitant to connect to outside apps, you can also achieve this by creating an additional album in your photos. This method seems like quite a bit of extra work, which is why I took the easy way out. Whichever route you choose, I highly suggest planning your feed.
3. Instories – Create Animated Instagram Stories
I love Instories! It is, hands-down, the best app for Instagram, in my opinion. This is an easy way to create animated and professional stories. If you’re looking to get a little fancy-pants to your stories, this is the way to go. Options are limited for the free version, although they’re still great, so I purchased a year subscription for $48. It was worth its weight in gold!
The picture to the right was a story I created to announce a giveaway I was hosting. Each text box popped up individually and it added a fun and engaging element to my story. 10/10 I highly recommend!
4. Tezza – Photo V& Video Editing App
I am by no means a video editor. I need an app that is dummy-proof and straight to the point. Introducing, Tezza! This app allows you to edit photos and videos, but I prefer the video portion. She has a few fun options like stop motion and glitter. Her features take my videos from Myspace 2008 to “maybe this girl knows what she’s doing.”
This app also has a paid version for $1.99, but the free version does the trick. Personally, I pay the monthly fee and drink one less pumpkin spice a month.
5. Spacie – Instagram Caption Editing App
If you are still using dots to break up your caption text, we need to talk. I see your effort, but I’m giving you the side-eye. You can do better.
Before every post, I type my caption into Spacie, run it through Grammarly, and copy it to Instagram. It’s quick, easy, and clean. I know it seems like an unnecessary extra step, but if you truly want to grow on Instagram, you have to start being extra. What separates you from the dot and dash typers? Clean captions.
I hope you’ve found this helpful! These apps have changed the Instagram game for me, and maybe they’ll do the same for you. Do you have any additional apps that I should mention? If so, comment below, and let’s chat! I’d love to hear your thoughts!
